Jamie Kirk of the Local Government Association will be joining our discussion panel at CITIZEN 2012 focused on the social mobile citizen.

Jamie is Online Knowledge Officer at the Local Government Association where he encourages online collaborative working throughout the public sector by promoting and developing the Knowledge Hub platform.

Jamie is also SOCITM’s 2011 Graham Williamson Challenge award winner. This grant allowed him to travel to North America in 2011 and conduct an international project into how the US and Canadian governments are using smartphone apps, open data and mobile technology to engage with their citizens. The findings of the research have been published by BT, Holyrood Magazine and in SOCITM’s Better Connected 2012 publication.
